Sony has opted out of a press conference this year, and Nintendo is limiting its space at the event to a keynote speech by president Satoru Iwata. Microsoft will continue the pre-TGS machine with its own press conference on the 15th, the day before the show. Combine titles like Ryu Ga Gotoku and Phantasy Star Universe with the company's showing at the recent JAMMA AM Show, and IGN gets the feeling that Sega never disappeared - it just took a bit longer than expected to find its legs as a third party.
